“My the Lord show us his mercy and love, and grant us his salvation.”
My dear brothers and sisters,
It is with a very saddened heart that I write these words to you.
Sunday night into Monday morning we had some intruders in the church that caused damages and stole items including the tabernacle with the Blessed Sacrament. The damages to the building were minor and the stolen items amount to a few thousand dollars. However, the desecration of the greatest gift possessed by the Church, the Most Blessed Sacrament, is a very serious matter.
The Horizon Police department has been very supportive since the initial response and in the investigation. I ask that if you know any information that leads to the arrest of the perpetrators to please call Horizon PD.
Furthermore, due to the desecration of the Blessed Sacrament I join our Bishop Mark Seitz in inviting you to make reparation for this violation by visiting the Blessed Sacrament and participating in any act of reparation.
The indifference of the world towards God in the holiness Most Blessed Sacrament needs to be overcome with the devotion, love and the holiness of His children. Let us remain united and strong in the Lord and manifest that we are his faithful followers regardless of the violations that some express. Let us also pray that those that perpetrated these repulsive acts may repent and change their ways.
May our Blessed Mother, Our Lady of Guadalupe, who witnessed the acts of hatred and indifference towards her beloved Son, bring us consolation and guide us closer to the Sacred Heart of our Lord Jesus Christ. May the Holy Spirit protect us always.

“Que el Señor nos muestre su misericordia y nos conceda su salvación.”
Mis queridos hermanos y hermanas,
Es con un corazón muy triste que escribo estas palabras.
El domingo por la noche para amanecer el lunes algunos ladrones entraron en la iglesia causaron daños y robaron algunos artículos, incluyendo el tabernáculo con el Santísimo Sacramento. Los daños al edificio fueron menores y los artículos robados ascienden a unos miles de dólares. Sin embargo, la profanación del mayor don que posee la Iglesia, el Santísimo Sacramento, es un asunto muy serio.
El departamento de policía de Horizon ha sido de gran apoyo desde la respuesta inicial y en la investigación. Les pido que si conoce alguna información que conduzca al arresto de los delincuentes, llame a la policía de Horizon.
Además, debido a la profanación del Santísimo Sacramento, me uno a nuestro Obispo Mark Seitz para invitarlos a reparar esta violación visitando el Santísimo Sacramento y participando en cualquier acto de reparación.
La indiferencia del mundo hacia Dios y a la santidad del Santísimo Sacramento necesita ser superada con la devoción, el amor y la santidad de sus hijos. Mantengámonos unidos y fuertes en el Señor y demostremos que somos sus fieles seguidores independientemente de las violaciones que algunos cometan. Oremos también para que aquellos que perpetraron estos actos repulsivos puedan arrepentirse y cambiar su forma de ser.
Que nuestra Santísima Madre, Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe, que presenció los actos de odio e indiferencia hacia su amado Hijo, nos de consuelo y nos guíe más cerca del Sagrado Corazón de nuestro Señor Jesucristo. Que el Espíritu Santo nos proteja siempre.
